You are missed!!

As a mom you always dream that your kids will find a great friend. Someone who will play all day and never run out of things to do. That was Sammy. He and his family have moved and we miss them dearly. Cameron is beside himself without his Friday night sleepover buddy.

It didn't matter what they were doing they always had fun. They both love to play wii and xbox. They love to play legos and they LOVE to play outside.

Cameron gets his bear

We are so proud of Cameron in his scouting. We are also thankful to others who take the time to teach him in scouts.

Something new

Tiny nose and little toes, we have a visitor. Nick is staying with us for a while. What a huge change to go from an independent 10 year old to a 3 month old. We are loving every minute.

A trip to Texas

We had such a fun time going to Texas. We drove with our friends the Davis's. I can't belive that I didn't take any pictures of the ride there or of all the fun things we did while in Texas. We celebrated Logan and Cameron's birthdays! Cameron had so much fun having his Texas cousins for a party. We went swimming and had cake and ice cream. Cameron also had a blast playing with Logan and Jake in their Lego room!!! We LOVE Legos. I just need to remember to pull out my camera more than once while I was there.

A new cousin!!

Norah was born on July 11th! We are so grateful to have her in our family. She is a sweet spirit.

Grandma Donna and I made new blankets for each of the girls.

They are so snuggy!!

Thanks for the visit

The cousins came to visit. We had a blast.
We went swimming, played outside and had snowcones. Aidan and Jaren had so much fun they decided that they wanted to live in Vernal when they grow up. I am so glad.

We all slept out on the porch. The weather was nice until about 4:30 when it started to rain.

What campout is complete without the D.S!

Our busy summer

This is what we have been up too latley. We built our garden on our back deck. We had to put it up high so the deer wouldn't eat it. Hopefully next summer we have a fence so we can build a real garden.

We also finished a our storage room!!

And there really is water in there, finally!!!!

The race

The race day was here. We had signed up for it in December and April came quickly. I totally was going to back out of it because I wasn't ready, in shape, didn't have time or whatever other lame excuse I could dream up, but I didn't. I am go glad I went. It was so much fun. I went out the day before and stayed with Nick and Jen. It was so great to see them again. I know I am kinda pathetic because they haven't been gone for long, but we miss them. The girls were so cute and super sweet. When we got up the day of the race this was what the weather looked like. Snow on the car. Not much just enough to make it wet and cold for the 5K. Oh well, no more excuses.

Jen and me before the race.

I don't have a picture of Jen crossing the finish line, probably because she finished before me. She ran the whole time and I am so darn proud of her. She is a great example to me and I am going to run the whole time next time.

After the race--totally worth it!!

I know!

Yea, yea, I know--My blog called and it wants and update, I've heard it!! My life, just like everyone else, gets really busy. I would love to be able to keep up all the time but oh well. Please enjoy the following updates.

Good Bye

It seems like we have had to say good bye a lot lately. Nick and Jen and their girls moved on a few weeks ago. We miss them a lot. It was so fun to have them with us while they were. They have found a new apartment and Nick will be going to school. We miss their friendship and their talking. Nick and Jesse going on about hiking and I miss Jen just knowing me.

I miss these eyes!

And this cute little smile!!

We all really miss the acrobatic ability of this cutie pie!! She could fly through the air and beg for more.

Cameron misses his wrestling mate!!

Moving Marnie

As we moved the Allen Family to Texas we had a lot of fun. "We" consisted of me, Marnie, Katie, Lainey, Fae,Chloe and Cameron all stuffed into my car that seats 7. Just because it seats 7 doesn't mean that you should travel for long distances that way.

We were all pretty packed in with stuff at our feet and all around us. The kids were really good for the 24 hour drive. The first day we drove about 15 hours and the kids and adults were spent.

So we stopped and stayed the night in Kansas. They just knew that the beds were meant for jumping on, right?

Lainey and her cute pigtails.

We helped Marnie and the kids get moved in and settled and the last night we were in Texas we had a birthday party for Fae. Jesse flew into Texas so that he could drive home with Cameron and me. We got all the cousins together and had a lot of fun.

Aunt Krista had a scavenger hunt for the cousins. They thought it was great.

Love that cute Fae!

The boys with their sword bubbles.

February Blue and Gold banquet

This year for Blue and Gold banquet the scouts had to make a cake with their dad. It was really fun to watch Cameron and Jesse bake. They did a really good job, much better than I do actually, and their cake turned out great. Too bad we didn't find out until later that it was a cake decorating contest, oops!!

I love this picture of them from the back. It shows one of the very few differences between Cameron and Jesse. Cameron has a duck tail. Cameron is a mini Jesse and it seems to get worse every day. The only thing that Cameron got from me was a couple of freckles and moles-ewww!
Cameron giving his presentation for the night on Texas.

Since we didn't know that it was a decorating contest the cake was already frosted and sprinkled with green. When I told Cameron that the other cakes might look really fancy because they were decorating them for the contest he told me to wait right there because he had an idea. He ran upstairs and got LEGOS of course and started decorating. I love him!!!
