We love visits

We are always glad to see cousins. Katie and Cory came and brought Lainey and Jaren for a visit a few weeks ago. It was fun to cruise around Vernal and check things out.

There isn't a lot of things to do in Vernal so we were glad we had a craft. The best thing about having family visit is just talking about life and.......

We've been adopted!!!

We have not had a pet for about 4 months now and we have missed our cats. Perry and Sam were with us for 15+ years. We are not ready for another inside pet so we were very happy to find that we had been adopted by this cute furball that comes from the field or our yard if you will. I can't tell if it is a girl or a boy (hope I find out before there are more on the way) but we don't care either way. We are having a hard time deciding on a name for the fluffy thing though and would be willing to hear any suggestions. Some of the names so far are BW and Ginger a suggestion made by my nephew Jaren. I love the name Ginger but the cat is not ginger color, does that matter?

Never ending projects

Having a home is such a blessing. What I forgot is that the work on your home never ends. We are so grateful for the warm fall weather that we have been having. We know that it won't last long so we take advantage of every moment of it. Here is Jesse working on the deck in our back yard. It will not be finished this year but hopefully by next summer. Yes that is the half-pipe in the back ground and we are sad to see that winter is coming because it will put a damper on Friday night skate night.

I knew this day was coming

A few days ago Jesse and I were in the kitchen talking and enjoying the day. When we heard a loud crash. I said to Jesse " I just can't stand to go and see what it is". As I said that Cameron came running down the stairs and said, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry". Jesse did go and check out the sight by himself and then came and told me that there was a broken window. I was surprised that it was such a "big" thing (a window being broken is a big thing to me) and I didn't even hear voices being raised. So I asked Jesse how the window was broken (pretty obvious by the soccer ball in the picture). He said that wasn't important but that Cameron had felt bad and he was going to replace the window. I am thankful for a loving patient husband, who will step in when I think I can't go on. So in honor of being a mom to a really great kid I have posted a few reasons I love
being his mom.

I love being a mother to a boy...

Because he tries so hard to stay clean when he is doing a craft.

And........

He loves to be Harry Potter every year for Halloween.
How easy is that?

And........

There are always legos all over the place.

Last but not least

I love being the mother to a boy mostly because he has such a wonderful dad as and example. Cameron knows that even when he breaks a window that he can tell his dad and he will still be loved.

Home

I am so taken by the sky lately. This is in the evening just as the sun was setting. I love living in the country!

What a wonderful world

When I woke up this morning my room seemed to be painted pink. I looked out the window and it was so beautiful that I jumped up and grabbed my camera. I don't think that I captured how pretty the sky was, but it was enough to take my breath away. I am so thankful for all that I have and it is in moments like this that I really see it.

Have a Boo-tiful day

I love to copy things I see in magazines or books and make them my own. These ideas came from Country Living. They were a lot of fun and have made our home feel very festive.

Fun with Friends

When Cameron was younger he had an older friend that loved Lego's. I always thought that it was wonderful that this friend would spend hours playing Lego's. I hoped one day that Cameron would have the desire to so the same. Well my wish came true and now I don't know if it is still fun or if it has turned into an obsession, but I still love it. I love to find him creating different things and I love it when he and his friends spend hours playing Lego's.

Beach day

Just like Dad!

California

Jesse tries surfing!!!!! The water was much colder in California than it was in Arizona. He had a lot of fun and was very tired afterwards. The first day he didn't have great luck but the next day he did get up and surfed. Way to go!!!

Lake Havasu

Here are some pictures from Lake Havasu. It was October and still 105 degrees there. The water was perfect. The boating was so much fun. We went to these cliffs to jump off, which we all did. Yes that is the London Bridge. The real London Bridge. It was moved to Lake Havasu in the 70's. It is so cool because you can see the bullet holes in it still and everything. We are grateful to our friends for letting us stay with them and for taking us all around on their boat.

Grand Canyon

Here we are at the Grand Canyon. We hiked out to a beautiful point. It really is amazing!!

Trips to the Lake

Vacations

We have been on many trips this year and had a lot of fun. We went to Ohio, Texas, Arizona and California. Look where we stayed in Arizona---
A little place called Cameron, how cool is that?

Getting started

I finally did it, I have a blog! It is so exciting. Well here I go.
